TEC Awarded Three-year, State-wide Contract with MDOT to Provide As-needed Asbestos Investigations

Troy, MI – The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has awarded TEC the three-year, statewide, contract to provide as-needed pre-demolition asbestos surveys in support of upcoming road and bridge projects.

MDOT has hundreds of road and bridge projects planned for the 2010 – 2012 construction season, including preliminary work on the Port Huron Plaza Expansion Project. In order to make room for such expansion projects, condemned structures are razed, requiring pre-demolition asbestos and hazardous materials surveys. TEC’s licensed and certified industrial hygiene professionals are in position and eager to work with MDOT officials on future Michigan projects, as they have since 1999.

With offices in Troy, Detroit, and Ann Arbor, TEC provides professional engineering consulting services in the environmental, geotechnical, facility engineering fields, and construction materials testing and inspection services.
