Team TEC Walks the Walk for the American Heart Association

Team TEC, in conjunction with the Barton Malow Company, joined 25 teams and 100+ registered walkers to raise funds and awareness for heart disease through the American Heart Association’s Annual Heart Walk that was held on the WSU Campus in Detroit, Michigan.  Donations are still rolling in through this week, but the Barton Malow Company Teams have raised over $77,000 to date for the cause.

Thank you to all the volunteers that showed up, displayed their Team spirit and made us proud. A special shout out to JoHanna Banicki for all your efforts in organizing this great event for TEC.

The American Heart Association was founded in 1924 by six cardiologists and has grown to be the nation’s oldest and largest voluntary organization dedicated to fighting heart disease and stroke.  The AHA has over 33 million volunteers and supporters as well as over 3000 employees.  To date, they have invested over $4 billion in research, more than any other U.S. non-profit organization.  For more information on the AHA, go to https://www.heart.org.
