P.V. McNamara Federal Building Capital Improvement Project

Detroit, Michigan

TEC provided environmental consulting services to the General Services Administration (GSA) for the expansion and improvement activities at the P.V. McNamara Federal Building (Site) in Detroit, Michigan.

These services included a Phase I Environmental Site Assessment (ESA), a Phase II ESA, and additional environmental drilling and investigation. Prior to the initiation of services, TEC coordinated with the GSA and governmental entities using the parking area, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), to gain security clearances and access required to enter and conduct work at the Site. TEC also provided extensive testing of building materials for asbestos.

Scopes of work for the ESAs were developed by TEC to assist the GSA in their plans to expand and upgrade the parking structure, and TEC’s environmental work was complemented by concurrent geotechnical investigations and consulting. TEC met all client deadlines and completed the project with the approved budget.
