Cobo Center Parking Garage

Detroit, Michigan

While undergoing extensive renovations in 2012, the A-Level of the Washington Boulevard Parking Garage was slated for removal as well as other infrastructure improvements. During the demolition phase, TEC provided Construction IAQ Management services. TEC routinely monitored for carbon monoxide and fine particulate (PM10) during each work shift of the demolition phase. Real time monitoring was conducted to assess air quality conditions at key locations accessible to the public. TEC also conducted daily measurements of air flow rates of the exhaust fans located in the parking structure. This data was used in conjunction with the air contaminant monitoring results to develop a recommended schedule for air filter change-out for the duration of the project.
