Chandler Elected to Michigan Industrial Hygiene Society Board

Scott M. Chandler, CIH, LEED AP, Manager of Industrial Hygiene Services at Testing Engineers & Consultants, Inc. (TEC) was recently elected to the Michigan Industrial Hygiene Society’s (MIHS) Board of Directors.

Chandler has been a Member of MIHS since 1990.  MIHS was founded in 1938, as is comprised of highly trained industrial hygiene professionals who service environmental and occupational health needs for public and private sector clients.

With 40 years of experience as an industrial hygiene professional, Mr. Chandler has been quoted as an indoor air quality expert in various trade and news publications such as the Construction Association of Michigan (CAM) magazine, Michigan Real Estate Journal, and Crain’s Detroit Business publication.  He has presented on a number of induistrial hygiene topics to the Michigan School Business Officials (MSBO) at their annual Facilities Conference, the Southeast Michigan Society for Healthcare Engineers (SMSHE), Butzel Long law firm, Gunn Levine Architects, TMP Architects, Associated General Contractors (AGC), and Comerica Bank.   He is a member of the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA); Michigan Industrial Hygiene Society (MIHS); the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), as well as former member of the Associated General Contractors of America/Detroit Chapter’s (AGC) Safety Committee.  Mr. Chandler received his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Detroit and is a Certified Industrial Hygienist, LEED Accredited Professional, and Licensed Asbestos Building Inspector/Management Planner.
