John and Katherine Banicki of Testing Engineers & Consultants (TEC) became honorary members of AIA Michigan at a special May ceremony at the St. John’s Conference Center in Plymouth, Mi. This high honor is reserved for a person who is not an architect but who has made significant contributions to the field of architecture.
John is the Founder and Chairman Emeritus of Testing Engineers & Consultants and his career spans over 50 years as a licensed engineer in the built industry.
Katherine Banicki is President and Chief Executive Officer of TEC and has served in many positions in the Firm since it’s founding in 1966.
TEC provides client support from property acquisition through construction, renovation and restoration. Expertise includes environmental and geotechnical engineering and consulting as well as facilities engineering, construction materials testing, indoor air quality and asbestos, lead and mold management services.
